The Knight Hennessy Scholars Program is designed to build a multidisciplinary community of Stanford graduate students dedicated to finding creative solutions to the world’s greatest challenges. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Knight Hennessy Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- You must apply to and be accepted by a full-time Stanford graduate degree program, such as DMA, JD, MA, MBA, MD, MFA, MPP, MS, or PhD. You can apply to any of the seven schools of Stanford University: Business, Earth, Energy & Environmental Sciences, Education, Engineering, Humanities & Sciences, Law, and Medicine.
- You must have earned your first bachelor’s degree in January 2017 or later. If you served in the military, you can extend this eligibility window by two years. If you are currently enrolled in a graduate program at Stanford or elsewhere, you are still eligible to apply as long as you meet the degree requirement.
- You must demonstrate the qualities of a Knight Hennessy Scholar, which are independence of thought, purposeful leadership, and civic mindset. You should also show potential for collaboration across disciplines and cultures, and commitment to making a positive impact in the world.

Financial Coverage
The Knight Hennessy Scholarship covers the following expenses for the scholars:
- Full tuition and associated fees for up to three years of study at Stanford
- A stipend to support living and academic expenses
- A travel stipend for an annual round-trip to and from Stanford
- Access to enrichment opportunities such as workshops, seminars, speakers, and social events

Requirement
