The Radboud University Scholarship Programme offers a partial scholarship for a complete English-taught Master’s degree programme at Radboud University, one of the leading academic institutions in Europe. The scholarship covers the tuition fee, visa, residence permit, health insurance and liability insurance for your stay in the Netherlands.
The Radboud University Scholarship Programme is open for students from all non-EU/non-EEA countries who have excellent academic records and who are interested in pursuing a Master’s degree in one of the following faculties: Arts, Law, Medical Sciences, Nijmegen School of Management, Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies, Science, and Social Sciences.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Radboud University Scholarship Programme, you must meet the following criteria:
- You must hold a non-EU/non-EEA passport and are not eligible for the lower EU/EEA tuition fee for other reasons.
- You must have (will obtain) a Bachelor’s degree achieved outside the Netherlands, have no degrees achieved in the Netherlands and did not receive any previous education in the Netherlands (exchange programmes excluded, provided that they are part of the bachelor degree achieved outside the Netherlands).
- You must meet the English language proficiency requirement for the Master’s programme of your choice. You can check the specific requirements on the programme page.
- You must have been fully admitted to the English-taught Master’s degree programme starting 1 September 2024 as stated in the formal letter of admission.
- You must be able to comply with the conditions for obtaining a visa for the Netherlands.
- You must be enrolled at Radboud University as a full-time student for the academic year and Master’s degree programme for which the scholarship will be awarded.

Financial Coverage
The Radboud University Scholarship Programme provides the following benefits to the selected students:
- A partial scholarship that will reduce your tuition fee to € 2.314,- For example: a grant holder in 2023/2024 will pay a tuition fee of only €2.314,- instead of €16.000.
- A full coverage of costs for visa, residence permit, health insurance and liability insurance for your stay in the Netherlands (Aon Student Insurance).
Requirements
To apply for the Radboud University Scholarship Programme, you must fulfill the following requirements:
- You must submit your application for admission to a Master’s programme at Radboud University before 1 March 2024. You can find more information on how to apply on the admission page.
- You must indicate during your application for admission that you wish to apply for a Radboud Scholarship. You will then be requested to upload three additional documents: two reference letters and a curriculum vitae. If you already uploaded these documents for the Master’s programme application, you can upload the same documents again for your scholarship application.
- You must complete your application before 1 March 2024. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Document Requirements
To apply for the Radboud University Scholarship Programme, you must provide the following documents:
- A copy of your passport or identity card.
- A copy of your Bachelor’s degree certificate and transcript (or an official statement from your university if you have not yet obtained your degree).
- A proof of English language proficiency (such as IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge Certificate).
- Two reference letters from academic or professional referees who can comment on your academic abilities and motivation.
- A curriculum vitae that includes your personal details, education history, work experience, extracurricular activities and achievements.
